Mr. Goodman co-founded SMIG in 1997 and has over 25 years experience in the information, education and media investment banking and investment industries.

Mr. Goodman has worked with a wide range of clients and partners in the information, education and media industries including major global corporations, closely-held and family businesses and private equity firms seeking to expand their portfolio investments. Prior to starting SMIG in 1997, Mr. Goodman was a Managing Director at Berkery, Noyes & Company, an investment bank in the media industry and at Henry Ansbacher, Inc., one of the first specialty investment banks for the media industry. He was also a media analyst at Gabelli & Associates. Mr. Goodman began his career as a founder of the weekly newspaper, "The Torch" serving New Orleans.

Mr. Goodman is a graduate of Tulane University (B.A.) and the Fordham University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), Phi Beta Kappa.
